How do you feel when someone leaves you on read, on social media?

I honestly could care less lol. At first I will assume they are busy... but if a lot of time surpasses or even days... I just move on. I am not one of those constant texters who feel the need to text constantly untill the other person finally responds. Nope thats simply not my nature... If I text once and there is no response... I simply leave it like that... I dont try to "force things" or make the person talk to me. There is more to life than just a simple message lol... unfortunately a lot of people give much attemtion and power to text messages... you will literally see some people's whole mood change if the person they are interested in ignores them for days.
If you know your real value there is no need to put in effort for someone who is not reciprocating back... so simply just walk away and find someone deserving.

Indifferent. I do the same thing to others when I am texting them. I'm either busy, distracted, or do not have anything else to say to them at the moment... meaning they probably feel the same. It's not rude, at least not to me. I don't see the big deal about it.

Depends on the person
If it’s just some person or someone I’ve been texting for only a few days or something, I don’t really care.
If it’s someone I know have been talking to for a while, I get nervous something happened to them

Is it my friend, let's call him Bob, who never responds to pretty much anything unless explicitly asked a question, who you can barely get on the phone, and who calls you back two days later saying "sorry, i forgot"? In that case, i don't do anything. It's classic Bob, i'll nag him about never having a phone nearby next week when we see eachother.
Is it a random person who's not a friend? Send another message. Then radio silence. Go fuck yourself.

I would think they're busy and will reply when they have an answer. Some questions people ask me i have to think about. I'm not ignoring them i'm just formulating what and how i want to day something. Talking in person people can infer things from facial expresdions, demeanour. Typing something to somebody you dont have that so it just makes more sense to put some rhought into it.

I hate messaging for the reason that I dont know where to judge pacing

In person its fine because I can see their reaction and adjust accordingly, but if I send a message and they look at it but choose not to reply, then I worry and try to say something else to catch their attention

It's up to them, if they answer or not. I don't see any disrepect in that, it just shows a lack of interest... ofcourse; that's okay, too. No one can be interesting to everyone, that's just how it is.

I agree with you, and personally I don't care if someone doesn't answer me..., I don't see the case as a lack of interest, but I understand it as disliking opinions, if the issue is the lack of interest, the conversation is never start between two persons...

Honestly couldn't give two shits. People are too focused on if people reply after seeing the message they sent. Life is going down a dark road. Either call them and sack up. Or wait for them to finish what they're doing
