Why is there blue fluid leaking from my phone?

My phone is a Samsung Galaxy S4 mini from 2014. Recently, I noticed it got very hot when I played a game. The phone was burning my hands. I put it on the charger and set it down. When I unplugged it, there was blue residue on the charger. Now whenever I charge the phone, a bit of blue comes out of the charging port. It's not a lot and the phone still works fine, but what is causing this? Is it safe to use?

Also, the other day, I was examining my phone case. It's just a soft rubber cover that pops off. The sides of it look like they've been burned. The cover is much darker than normal in some places, mostly on the side. So is this related to the phone heating up and leaking blue liquid? Thanks a bunch for any answers to this

Thank you for the answers. I got a new phone and turned the old one off, and I won't use that charger either in case the blue is coming from that. Phones definitely don't last forever. Better safe than sorry

I don't know. But the first thing that comes to mind is the battery. If that's the case, then you need to replace the battery and clean the phone very good. Don't use it until you find out for sure and fix it. Especially don't charge it.

I took the back cover off and removed the battery, and it looks perfectly fine. Now what could it be?

That was the most likely thing I could think of. It's pretty much total guesses after that.

I read your question again. I'm not clear if this liquid was coming from the phone or the charger. I'm wondering if something happened to the charger itself.

Lithium ion chief. Lithium metal, and a liquid to shuttle the hydrogen ions for discharge and charging. Your phone is close to lighting on fire. Get a new battery. It gets too hot, hydrogen is free, fire.

I would suggest it's leaking because it's because it's 5 years old and fire hazard because it's been overheating,,,
