You cannot do both. Nor can one be a "priority" that's not how the health game works.
The product needs to pass a lot of checks and measures which you pay for out your own pocket, then it's basically advertising to get pre-order up take of said product and then production and logistics, all without seeing any profit - only potential.
Going for "profit" you end up with scams like Theranos and many other Elizabeth Holmes types. Plus, most of them are tax cheats and get caught in the end like the gimp in your pic there. There is no such thing as "free market" the strings, loans and bailouts are just not open and obvious is all.
Also, every disksplash talks profit over people, until it's a condition they or a loved one is suffering from. Then it's all "gofund me! and the government should be doing more to force companies to lower the prices and increase research budget!"
Can't I do both? I'd offer a good product at an affordable price.
Rather help the people. I’ll still make money, but I won’t make as much. I’d rather get people healthy so they can live their lives as they see fit again, rather than profit off the deaths of those too poor too afford it. Blood money has 0 appeal to me.
Focus on helping people, and make a modest amount of money off it. I think it's messed up how people sell things like epi-pens for like 10,000 times the manufacturing cost.

Its really a stupid ass question because its basically the same. If you dont charge the correct amount your not going to have enough to produce the medicine in volume and to safe standards and to research new uses for the medicine and/or new medicine.
Lowering the price doesn't help the greatest amount of people. I have a business like this and i accidentally made it too cheap once and then we had idiots who shouldn't have been customers wasting the service while people who needed it and could afford it at the correct price couldnt get it. Thats not helpful.
I’d help more people than make money
Money is everything.
