Help with WhatsApp please?

if someone changes their number or phone and creates a new WhatsApp account without deleting the old one and adding you to the new one, will their display picture still be visible on their old account? And if I was to send a message through to the undeleted old account, will the message be delivered with two ticks or will I just see one tick?

The whatsapp won't work if the old phone number no longer exists... no?
But if the old account is working, for whatever reason, then it still has access to your contacts and the display profile picture will still be there.
If the old account is still working, why would you expect any changes? The app will function the same. Two ticks in blue once read.
Most people do not have two phone numbers simultaneously though. And when you change numbers, you have to convert your whatsapp account.
