How do you use WhatsApp?

My cousin has traveled and has asked me to install it, and I did, but I'm not sure about my number. Is it the same as the number I have one my cell? How does it work? I can figure out the rest if I can just get started.

I got it working. All I need to do is add people on, right?

You need to register it with your contact number of the sim card you have in your mobile phone, then it will automatically add the OTP (One Time Password) text message you received on WhatsApp and then your number will be verified... then it will lead you to set a name for your account and add a picture if you want. Once you're all set, you can send and receive messages, pictures, videos, PDF and also Live/current location. Also, if you do not want people you're not that close to bother you by sending you messages at odd times, you can go to your settings and hide your online status and also turn off read receipt. When you read someone's messages the blue ticks next to their messages turns blue which lets them know you've seen it. So, if you don't like that, you can also change it in the settings.

Ah--they have to add you on their WhatsApp, and then they can show you pictures. He just did.

I only use WhatsApp at work. I work for a company that has offices all over the globe, and WhatsApp is sometimes used for short conversations.

You install it, register your phone number and should automatically connect to all people on your contacts who also uses whatsapp.

Yes same numberas your cell number, you can use WiFi to call people long distance for free.
