The one that I use is called Image Analysis Toolset and as far as I know it's only available on Android. It can (almost always) trace every image given to it back to its source. I'll give examples of how it works via photos. The first thing to do after downloading the application is to press the "Web Image Detector" UI, then select an image you've downloaded and the application will automatically search for every webpage available that contains the same image whilst also giving you a description of the image. It's usually insanely accurate. You can press on the given links to open the webpage (s).

You mean "altered" depending on how it's been altered you can usually tell if it's fake/doctored or not.

Yes there are forensic tools.

Try using Google Image and if you come up with more than one picture then the picture is fake
