What is the likelihood of YouTube one day being replaced like how MySpace got replaced?

Not very likely really. YouTube isn't really profitable and at best it serves as a way to boost other platforms of the same parent company and getting info on millions of people. Really the only company that might actually succeed in having a similar thing would be Amazon. Platforms like BitChute and Daily Motion exist, but they are stuck in 2008 and I doubt that they'll ever have a quarter of the traffic of YouTube.
$20 billion a year from ad revenue isn't profitable? Lol. Change this to worst answer OP.

Cute, now learn the difference between revenue and profit, and tell me why their losses aren't made public?
Then how much did they lose? Tell me.
Are you incapable of reading? I've told you, they don't make that public. Now riddle me this, why would a company boast about how many billions of dollars in revenue they get annually, yet wouldn't reveal their losses or actual profits?
So you say they lose money, despite posting $20 billion in revenue, but you don't know how much they lost, and in fact don't even know if they actually did lose money. How convenient.
< So you say they lose money, despite posting $20 billion in revenue,
Irrelevant.
< but you don't know how much they lost
Neither do you.
< and in fact don't even know if they actually did lose money.
Neither do you.
< How convenient.
... for YT, for not posting their actual numbers... yup.
Their revenue isn't irrelevant. The fact that you can't say how much they lost and said "youtube isn't really profitable" with no facts to support that claim is relevant.
If you're talking about profits, yeah, revenue is irrelevant.
"The fact that you can't say how much they lost and said "youtube isn't really profitable" with no facts to support that claim is relevant."
And you can't say that they are profitable, so you're destroying your own position. And, again, why the hell wouldn't a 'profitable company with billions of dollars in revenue' wanna show their losses?
Don't be daft.
MySpace is still around, as is Yahoo and others. Just not as big
Youtube is simply the video arm of Google. It's like asking when Whatsapp will be replaced, despite knowing it's the mobile platform of Facebook.
You're not well informed, kiddo.,
It’s so funny that you posted this because earlier I was thinking how much YouTube has changed. It used to be the site you go to for legendary videos and now it’s just a platform pretty much like tik tok and Instagram where already rich people feel the need to be narcissists and make content only showing off their luxury life, on top of another platform to make money they don’t need.
And I think that’s why many legendary YouTubers are leaving youtube/ already left
@Levin those aren’t the legendary YouTubers I am talking about. I am talking about Jenna marbles, Nigahiga (how to be gangsta) , annoying orange, other legendary videos that we used to see in 2005-2010. Those days are long gone and it got replaced by rich people just use YouTube as a way to show off their materialistic stuff and make money they don’t need.
I didn’t say Jenna marbles got banned, I said she left. She left because all the narcissists have turned youtube into a toxic war zone. All the new generation of “YouTubers” care about is making their narcissistic life look primp and perfect. It’s to the point where they post “morning routines “ and act as if their morning routines are any different than regular peoples
@r2cute I agree. And majority of the big tik tokers are rich and do not need money. Those people are future elitists

nearly zero because: youtube is too entrenched and established, content creators thrive on viewership and since youtube is one of the most popular sites in the world, switching to a platform with less viewers is counterproductive, google is the 800 pound gorilla in the room with very deep pockets so very few can compete with them.
with that said, niche players like twich and tik-tok have found some space in online video. but i doubt they're as profitable as youtube who makes nearly $20 billion a year.
Everyone has their day in the sun. You Tube will go the way of the dinosaurs when something else comes out that is better.
