For people who use wireless keyboard and mouse. Have you ever lost the receivers? What did you do after?

For all the wireless equipment with USB receivers I have used, I have never lost the receiver as I understand that, that tiny piece of hardware is probably more important than the actual hardware. Which can be found. But the receiver, if lost, may not be found at all.

I was just asking what would you do for that. As many people seem to lose it.

I haven't but the recievers are (or were once) universal, they use the same frequency.

We got this problem at a lan party once, when two people had the same wireless mouse and keyboard, and the signals got messed up causing frustration for both, had to rearange the seats so the distance is long enough the signal wouldn't reach.

So i guess when you lost the reviever, i would look for a replacement.

For a high value mouse or keyboard, I suspect the manufacturer could provide a replacement receiver if you provide the model and serial number.

I don't buy expensive ones, so I just get a new mouse or keyboard.

That's really good to be honest. I am currently using a keyboard mouse combo named Logitech mk240. Cheap but really really good. The keyboard is like the premium ones I have experienced. The mouse is also good but I have another mouse Logitech m331. I prefer that.

That's the brand I have, Logitech. I also have a Gear Head as a spare.

I've used wireless keyboards and mouses but never lost the dongles. I would guess that a computer repair shop might have a replacement dongle for you.
