The whole free speech thing is a load of nonsense though. There are a thousand other similar platforms that don't do any kind of moderating, and none of them are popular because noone actually *wants* free speech. Sure, they want to be free to say whatever they want, but they don't want other people to be free to voice their conflicting opinions.

Take away moderation, and all you're going to be left with is a bunch of trolls from either end of the political spectrum being abusive to one another, and supposedly factual content will only be considered reliable if it confirms what the reader already believed. I don't see how that is of any value to anyone.

Honest it's a mix of not caring and laughing at people on both sides of the debate jumping the gun. I stopped using twitter years ago and won't start using it again any time soon. So the change in ownership isn't something I particularly care about. No deal has been signed and no changed have been made. Cheering it or condemning at this point is jumping the gun. So putting your political views on both sides aside and developing a wait and see attitude would be the logical thing to do. But people on both side can seem to let their political views and ideas throw logic out the nearest window.

As I said on another question, for now, I'm just enjoying SJW, radical feminists, tolerated racists and leftists crying about fascism because their little echo chamber has been opened to other opinions.
Which has been very fun so far. Hearing them saying that free speech is hate speech or fascism, that's beyond my expectations.

Then we will see. Either Musk does what he says, and Twitter becomes what it was supposed to be, a social platform for everyone. Or I'll watch it goes down in flame and disappear like the burning trash it is.
Either outcome is fine to me, that site has been a tumor to the internet for way too long.

also, he didn't bought twitter with just his money... the purchase was financed by very powerful companies from the elite circles

From what I know so far I am glad and in total support of it.
Twitter has been censoring more and more people and stories and opinions to where they are just a propaganda and censorship platform.
Musk is saying he wants to open it back up to free speech so if that is what he does then that is a good thing.

I think he is the best thing that could happen to Twitter. For far too long it's been a haven for those that support MAP'S (pc term for pedophiles) which contrary to what you might think, it's mostly leftists that support them.
