technology is not there to solve problems or bring actual progress... lol

technology is there to make certain people richer and then even more rich, that's why have consumerism... and that's why batteries still suck

then, chances are that if we never dying batteries we would only remain glued to our screens forever

so we, are the problem... lol

we do succumb and walk right into this trap

Either Apple or IBM was supposed to develop Oxygen Ion Batteries which could be charged a lot less often.

when the lightbulbs were invented and then optimized... all those big companies decided one thing as a group

why make great lightbulbs that can last over "20,000" hours and you never to buy more of them in years

so they decided to only build and sell lightbulbs that will fail after "3000" hours or so...

Automobiles are the same way. In the 1980's toyota figured out how to make a pick-up truck that lasted as much as 750,000 miles. They couldn't make money selling a perfect automobile, so they had to make them suck balls like American made. Now they get less mileage than ever.

Anyway, on the Oxygen ion battery thing again, it's been like 15 years ago since they said they'd have them mass marketed within 5 years. I wonder how they could fall that far behind production... hmmmmm... you and I would get FIRED if we fell that far behind in production... unless they wanted to fall that far behind in production...

Classical computers are basically at the theoretical limit, so we need quantum computers and/or optical computing to continue improving technology.

Need a more correct definition of electrical work to charge energy bills more fairly.

Need fusion power supplies as it's the only truly sustainable power supply that doesn't produce more pollution than it's worth.

How to colonize Mars with a few hundred million to one billion humans. HOw to build a warp drive and fly to other stars to colonize exo-planets. Galactic Civilization is theoretically attainable, but we need so much more technology we currently can scarcely even imagine.

There's no money to be (continuously) made from a battery that never loses its charge, or a lightbulb that never burns out, or cures rather than treatments for illnesses and conditions. You're going to be waiting a long time.
