Anonymous(36-45)+1 yIt's no longer possible to remain private even outside of social media. When weirdos were claiming we were being chipped with Covid vaccines, I said to those people...if you think the government or anyone else needs to chip you to find out where you are, you're about 25 years too late. Any 5th grader with a laptop can find you. There are cameras at every gas station, grocery store, roadway, city center, state crossing and so fourth. In terms of social media, if you've ever put out any information on yourself, your job, your family, your school, etc, someone has that information. It's stored for years even if you delete it. Even if you don't volunteer your own information, you show up in photos with friends, in company work photos and bios...okay, so long story, longer, no, not possible. K, thanks.

No, because social media is under the umbrella era known as "technology."
Every ounce of technology allows for tracking/ analyzing/ essentially retaining information

Yes. It all depends in two things. 1. What you post and how frequently you post. And 2. What social media applicationshould you/society chooses to use.
In an era of closed-source software like Facebook, Twitter, etc, we have no privacy whatsoever.00 Reply
To the degree that you use social media and much you put your life on the web... but as far as data and how these corporations use it, not really. I shop on line, but I refuse to use social media out side of this website.

m +1 yI still have no social media at all... I just don't use it
it doesn't mean I have privacy though... Google does have all the info on me and has sold to who knows how

@Rosexøxø right... a lot of people consider G@G a social media app
I just consider it an online forum, and it is actually built to work best as the browser version, and not to optimize the app for mobiles
but yes, other than G@G (which luckily for me won't link me to any family and friends) I do not have other, social media... - +1 y

Luckily, I do not use a smart phone. Bog standard Doro €20 cheapy. Makes phone calls and handles texts.
Brave good. Do you use Tails? - +1 y
@Jessica405 I don't know about Tails yet, what is it for?
and yes, I do use my smartphone as less as possible, lol... but I really need it for work nowadays - +1 y
It is a fairly secure OS based on Linux. Runs from a USB key. Leaves no trace.

Give her an ultimatum…you seem like a straightforward lady who can give an ultimatum with a smile and serious sort of Vibe. Don’t take a pic of me. Don’t broadcast me in your SMs without asking my permission.
I sense that ability to be perceive sincerely but not bitchy even through the computer box.

+1 ySure you can. Use the right OS, browser, a VPN, etc. Never use your real name, age, date of birth. Never post a photo. That's just for a start.

+1 yOf course it is... make a conscious effort to not be a slave to your smartphone and social media, don't post everything on it, be selective
