Facebook messenger last active status disappeared after 3 hours?

When we opened my messenger, normally we would be able to see the person's last active status.

For example, it would usually shows something like:

"(the person's profile) active 15 minutes ago" or "(the person's profile) active 2 hours ago" .

The last active status would usually be there for 24 hours and then disappeared right? However, my messenger could only show the person's last active status for 3 hours. It will not show the person's last active status after that.

Is this an error? or a bug? Can someone explain?

Two likely options. I do believe after so many hours of inactivity it does disappear. Or, in the settings, when you switch your active status to “off” I believe it’ll disappear too in that case. Hope this helps.

you can click active status for only certain people, you can also click as a user invisible so status doesn't show up, maybe thats what they did
