As long as I pay $8 I can get a blue checkmark for anything I want. So what good is Twitter verification anymore?

There are different colours of check mark. You can subscribe to blue. I suspect it raises funds for Twitter but also it's used to validate real humans.
Others such as companies and dignitaries have different colours.

I know that was proposed, but I thought Elon Musk didn't want to "invalidate" the value of getting/having blue checkmarks, so he declined it.
