What do you think people want from gadgets?

I am asking this after realising that even Samsung has started adapting Apple's form factor in their smartphones.

Android phones experienced an era of experimentation and innovation. But they are returning to a traditional form factor smartphone.

Whereas iphones never left the conventional form factor. It seems this is the main reason for their consistent performance, sales wise.

Innovation?

Ease of acfess and versatility?

For me, "gadgets" are new devices which serve a limited purpose. E. g, in the kitchen, a knife s not a gadget, but a potato peeler is a gadget. I think people want gadgets to be entertaining and innovative.

I think people want phones to be an easy-to-use, multipurpose business machine, analogous to a printer/copier/scanner/fax.
