What do you perfer when it comes to automotive headlights in your modern and/or classic ride?

Me I prefer the all glass Sealed Beam headlights.

Yes they make LEDs for everything, I don't like them

See I had a crappy old Dodge Caravan from 1989 You know the 2nd generation of them

It hit a deer and smashed out the front end. They wanted over a hundred for a replacement European style headlight assembly.

I said screw that shit.

So I took the headlights out of about to be junked1985 Chevy S10 and mounted them in the caravan.

I like the really bright ones on the car that I am driving. But hate them when I get blinded by them when another car with them comes towards me.

I like the round sealed beams. The new LEDs are confusing because some have the headlights turn into turn signals.

I liked the round ones in my 1980 Camaro I used to have, they were easy to get and install and cheap. Remember when automobile manufacturers were only allowed to use the round or rectangle sealed beamed headlamps so that’s all there was? Once that changed there’s just too many different types of bulbs on the market

yes, I bought new bulbs for my Chevy Tahoe, They were very expensive.

Yeah I used to save every good part before junking a car when I had a place to keep everything so I had spare parts

I prefer the pop up and down headlights. Such a staple in it’s time. Any other style can come and go but this one unfortunately hasn’t returned to the modern age

@blackgaletiger. Pop up headlights were discontinued because of pedestrians getting more injuries when you hit them with your car.

@Surely I'd think the solution would be to stop hitting pedestrians with cars. That'll save more pedestrians than headlight design. :D

My father had a Ford LTD that had the hidden headlights. Sometimes in the winter they would get iced up and would not open.
