When driving at night, do you keep the car roof light on or off?

I prefer it closed. because that's how it gets better. Also, if I'm a passenger, a light-free environment is always better for sleeping.

I do not have a light on my car roof. If I was driving a taxi, a police car, a pizza delivery vehicle, or even a power line repair vehicle, I might have one. But I do have a ceiling light in the car. I will turn it on when stopped and reading something, like written directions to my destination. Otherwise, while driving it would be stupid to keep it on because it would make it hard or impossible to see out the windows.

Remember when cops stopped my mom while I was playing my gameboy color because of roof light. Whoops... then she tried to read it and turned on the roof light again! Sigh...:)

I prefer it on, but it's probably safer for the driver if it's off. Then they can see traffic better
