Which midrange phone should I get: Motorola, Samsung, or Google?

I broke my budget XiaoMi phone (RedMi Note 8 Pro) last week, so I'm looking for a replacement but I want something decent.

I've had many phones, and my Motto was by far the best. Now I have a Pixel, and it's possessed by the devil. When I'm wearing a shirt with a pocket, I keep it there. It just randomly starts dialing people or playing music. It once downloaded a game, and it seemed like I was winning. None of my left hand fingers work for pressing buttons. It only likes my right hand fingers and my left boob.

My XiaoMi (current and previous) phones have done some strange stuff with the touchscreen and buttons as well

I don't want it to be turned off, I just don't want it calling people or playing music.

have you tried factory resetting the phone? make sure everything you want to be kept intact to be backed up via expandable storage and/or cloud services (most apps have their data backed up through the servers the apps run on and/or by Google Play or App Store)

Yes, I've done that. But just somehow buttons are pushed.

did you try contacting the seller or your phone carrier for an exchange or refund (assuming it still falls under warranty and/or the refund/exchange period hasn't ended)?

The problem is, I have two completely different phones that do the same thing. I can actually hear the dialing in my pocket.

Look into the A33 or maybe A34?

Basically when i got my new phone i had the choice between A33 and A53, but the A33 is basically the same as the A53 just half the price.

I would look into a waterproof dust-proof generic Chinese phone.

Generally they come with less nonsense preinstalled.

lol a lot of Chinese phones are of low quality and don't have good security/privacy; the ones that aren't that are expensive such as Huawei and flagship XiaoMi phones

I have had a Galaxy A03 for the last year. It has been good for a midrange phone.

Yeah I watched YouTube reviews, and it seems the A54 is the best one so far but it's the most expensive midrange phone right now (except maybe iPhone). And correction, the Moto 5G Stylus 2023 hasn't come out yet, it's just Moto G Stylus 2023 that did 2 weeks ago. I assumed that the Pixel would have more security updates because it's Google and they own Android, but it's actually Samsung that offers security updates for the longest.
