Is there anyway to retrieving deleted Facebook messenger texts?

I drunk texted my ex last night then stupidly deleted the texts instead of unsending 🤦🏼‍♀️ is there anyway I could retrieve the texts and unsend?

I don't think an individual can retrieve deleted messages. The police can, with a search warrant, going to Facebook offices.
