I get these Megan's law alerts which invariably indicate that some guy who has been driven crazy by unfair family law court rulings has decided to take matters into his own hands regarding his own children. The cops go crazy trying to find this guy. However, very very occasionally women do something similar and it's all you can do to get the cops to respond at all since they don't think that a woman kidnapping her children is a problem. It's only when a man doesn't that they go hunting him. Fathers get treated like shit in the US.

Quite a few, but I manage shared emails for a couple non-profit organizations so I get an alert every time someone else signs into one of those accounts.
