I don’t really care about likes and stuff, but it’s a very noticeable difference. I don’t have a public account, just a personal private one. I posted a pic and it’s been over 5 hours and so far no one has liked it. Not even one. Surely that’s weird right?

How many followers do you have? You can’t just expect to get instant likes if you’re using a private account.
I have just over 500. I always had a private account and I still get likes. It’s the first time hours has passed and the post didn’t get one single like. I have 2 stories up and they’re getting views like normal.
You can’t just spend your entire life on IG. You need to put your phone away occasionally and do something productive so you don’t turn your brain into jello. Trust me, I’m an influencer, and spending your whole life on IG is very unhealthy for you. I was just like you a few years ago, I couldn’t get enough social media. As my following grew, I needed to start hiring people to operate my social media for me and when that happened and I cut back my own use of IG it felt like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders. Try it! Go without using any social media for a day and you’ll be shock at how relieved your body feels.
I agree with you. I never used to use my IG but I recently started back since I went on vacation and took some pretty pics and wanted to share. But I’m not an influencer lol. As a matter of fact, the last time I post something to my story or an actual post was for my Birthday in May. So I thought maybe me not being active as much is the reason why the post isn’t performing. But yes I do agree, social media can consume one’s life, I try to take frequent breaks so prevent that.
You say you don't care but you are straight up lying because if you truly didn't care you wouldn't give a shit you weren't getting any likes and you wouldn't be coming here to moan about it.
