I've been dealing with this for as long as I can remember. 😠I'll avoid phone calls as much as possible.

Not everyone has phone anxiety. Those who do can learn to control it through deep meditation and breath control. Note: the anxiety will still be there, but once you understand its triggers, you can learn to control and cope with it better. It may take years before you are comfortable on a phone. Using word practices where you recite phrases while speaking into a recording device can also help you with your phone issue.
Do understand that not everyone can overcome this, but they can build up some residual to help them when on the phone to slip into a better mind set. Also, you must find the method that fits you for the help you need. No one method is good for all.
Well i wouldn't say 'anxiety' but more like 'annoyed' especially if im in the middle of something else. because talking on the phone takes up most of my concentration and i have a hard time multitasking. so if i gotta call someone i'd rather i not be doing other things at the time.
I have social anxiety so I always just put it in the same category as that. I don’t have anxiety when receiving calls but I have anxiety when making calls. I’m always scared that I’ll say the wrong thing or that I’ll sound stupid.
I get scared to message people
They get upset when I take too long
But that makes it more scary the next time, so I end up airing them for longer

No I don’t at all. But if it’s a business call I’d like to be prepared if I’m doing business on the phone. I just don’t like to answer the phone in five seconds being caught off guard like that unless I get my thoughts together for the business call first
Times as we know it have changed & times are changing as well. As for me growing up I grew up in a time where people actually talked face to face & if you did have to use the phone it was on a landline because we didn’t have cellphones & we didn’t have anxiety over every little thing like people have today.
I hate phones so much that I have messages disabled to avoid that BS and my phone is switched off outside work hours. Nobody needs a phone 24/7 anyway.
Probably... but given how many voice calls I've had to make for work over the years, particularly since Covid, I'm kinda used to it by now. I mean I still hate them, but I'm resigned to the fact that I can't get away from them.
I did have that as a kid... lmao
but not anymore, nowadays it's an essential part of my work, lol
but I could get any and all kinds of social anxieties as a kid though...
I don't particularly enjoy talking on the phone, but not because it causes anxiety, I just have better things to do.
I have phone anxiety when I have to make calls. I have phone anxiety when I have to answer the phone at work.
yea i'm scared i'll come accross bad, and unless i know the person i kinda rehearse what i'm gonna say before i call
I can't I say I ever experienced phone anxiety.
No problem on the phone, just in real life with a tad of social anxiety.
I do but my boyfriend has helped me get out of it a bit.
Accidentally voted B. I meant to vote C.
I don't mind talking on the phone at all.
I don't know if it is phone anxiety but if I have something sensitive or important to tell someone I usually want to do it in person.
I do not. Ut I don't answer to random numbers so. if important they'll leave a message and illl call back
Absolutely, I get extremely anxious around making/receiving phone calls.
I’m very shy on the phone, but I wouldn’t call it a phobia.
Tbh I pick up calls with no hesitation, but I’m starting to think I should stop
Yeah lol I gotta write a script before I call someone
Like talking on the phone anxiety?
Nah i love to talk
Not sure. Call me and find out. lol
