I've had hackers steal a few times after getting into one email account. Pretty much everything was refunded to me, but it's still interesting that these big hacking operations are going on.

One stole reward miles on Delta and bought a ticket with their name on it.

Another got into Amazon, ordered 2 sets of air pods to a locker, sent me a Trump book to my house. When I locked them out of the account and added two factor authentication to my Amazon and all emails so they could not get the code to open the locker when the order arrived, they called Amazon and got an Amazon employee to unlock my account for them and turn off 2 factor authentication... I got an email from that employee stating he was happy to help me get into my account... Not even sure how that's possible. Amazon tried to give me the run around and blame me, so I sent my credit card company after them with proof that they were responsible.🙃

I had someone steal 5k out of my bank account wouldn't have noticed if my bank hadn't contacted me. They weren't very happy with that thief. They went all out to find them and get the 5k back. Was really odd but they got the guy had him charged and deposited the 5k back into my account letting me know that they had successfully found the thief.

I’ve had my debit card used for fraud a couple of times. Most recently, I had to go down a whole list of charges with a young gal I talked to from the bank, and MAN, was I glad to be able to truthfully deny all the OnlyFans charges that were rung up. That would’ve been embarrassing as hell, hahahaha

Once they got in an old EA account because I forgot I had a super basic password since I never used it. EA support was super helpful and within 10 minutes I had it back without damage. So not really stolen, but they did get the account for 10 minutes.

I've had my Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts hacked before, but I've successfully recovered and secured all of them. My Twitter account though the hacker decided to tweet stupid shit but nobody suspected anything since that's what I wrote on it. I haven't had Twitter for years, but since Musk bought and de-wokified it I might consider joining it again.

Yes... I recently lost 20k worth of cryptocurrency that I kept in a hot wallet... I'm not sure how because I don't do any investment related things unless it's on my laptop which is strictly for investing. I don't even google or youtube on it..

Yes but only accounts I didn't care about. It's why I made the passwords so simple. But my main accounts have passwords that would take this many years to crack:

If you enable 2FA or even MFA, you don't gotta worry about strong passwords. Besides, it's actually easy for hackers to crack pretty much any password; by hackers, I don't mean those amatuer script kiddies.

@bingbongbangbung I don't prefer to use that stuff. Takes too long for me. But I have like 20 random numbers at the end so I figured it's good for me. I don't have anything a hacker would want to spend that much time on 🤣

True but my current password for "important sites" is 42 characters long & equal to 101.76 bits. And that's when I don't even have much of anything to protect rn. But in the future when I do, I'll be sure to protect in extremely smart & safe ways. 👌

No, but somebody stole my credit card number and charged some stuff. The bank juast took the charge off my account and issued me a new card.

Lmfao Microsoft is one of the least secure platforms/tech companies out there. They kept getting hacked repeatedly that they're rebuilding Azure's security from the ground up. If it weren't for my gaming laptop using Nvidia GPU and having proprietary software, I would've switched to Linux years ago and abandoned Windows.
