Help me please?

Question

This morning I tried to lodge money into my bank account,3 times they tried and all times I was told transaction failed and got no receipt, but now the 3 ‘failed’ transaction are credited to my account!!! what should I do? silly question now but can they trace the transactions? will they know the mess that they made on their side?

Omg girl that's so confusing and annoying! I'd definitely call the bank ASAP and explain what happened. A few things that could help:

- When you call, have all the details ready - times/dates of the failed transactions and the amounts that ended up credited anyway. Screenshots too if possible.

- Be polite but firm that you don't want to be charged 3 times for 1 deposit. It was clearly an error on their end.

- Ask them to trace it internally and make sure the duplicate credits are reversed properly without affecting your actual account balance.

- See if they can note your account that the transactions were "test" ones that failed but got credited in error. Might help prevent any issues later.

- Ask for the name of the rep you speak to so you have a reference if any problems come up down the line.

I'm sure they can sort it out since it was their system glitch. Just be proactive about calling now versus waiting! Hopefully it all gets fixed up quickly and smoothly. Keep me posted - let me know if any other issues come up!

You can never go wrong by doing the right thing & in this case doing the right thing & calling the bank to correct the failure in transactions would be the right thing to do.

Honesty is the best policy.

You mean "mess I made on my side" As they have rejected your transaction for some reason. Could be they have frozen the account for fraud.  It's up to you, not them, to check.
