My ex and I dated for 4 years I was a good girlfriend to him. He treated me like shit in this relationship so I broke up with him 2 months ago. He already has another girlfriend. Isn’t that weird? Like I was his best friend for years and treated him well treat him well like very well I would drive to his house to bring him medication and food when he is sick no matter what time. One day he was drunk called me a bitch and a slut I was still by his side trying to help. There is so much more he did to me. The list is huge. What do you think? Is he an asshole for moving on from a 4 year relationship in 2 months?

You showed him that his bad behaviour was okay by sticking with him for that long. Ofcourse he was going to keep treating you badly if you never set boundaries or tried to leave until 2 months ago. He was likely trying to get you to break up with him by treating you badly, so that he can play the victim, make you sound like the bad guy for leaving him and get sympathy from another woman. It’s also likely that he already had someone else lined up for when you left him, so it doesn’t surprise me that he moved on quick.


Do yourself a favour and leave him in the past. His new girlfriend will see over time just how awful he is. Focus on yourself, your own well-being and finding a healthy relationship when you’re ready to get back out there.

I’m really sorry that this man couldn’t appreciate the good thing he had. And I’m sorry for every future girlfriend he may have going forward. He’s not only a scumbag for moving on after 2 months, he’s a scumbag for treating you like crap throughout your relationship. He was trash, he was beneath you, he was undeserving of you, but I bet he made you feel like you were the problem. You were never the problem, you did what all good girlfriends do. Honestly, you should just try to forget about him. He wasn't good to you and for you. That's why you broke up. He was a jerk who didn't love you. You shouldn't care who's he with now. Don't waste your time. Keep yourself busy. Just move on.
