Peace of mind.

Did this myself. Social media is toxic. Had lots of expectations. judgmental people. Unfollowers and followers. Should always go on trends.. in the end, it's tiring as hell.

Many IG users make use of the “archive” feature for old posts so that only new content appears on their feed. This is particularly true of professional accts.


Those worried about stalkers and other unwanted viewers (e. g, a current or prospective employer who insists on having access to your social media accts) would definitely delete their photos….

I would say because they felt cringe about their old personality as they developed into a new personality.

They might see some of the old posts are embarrassing or it's inappropriate while at the time they were younger, it wasn't seen that way.

I have seen friends that are girls do this multiple times. Probably because girls tend to like to post pictures and selfie of themselves more for likes than guys do, then they get to a point they are embarrassed by the pics so they delete them.
