Is it unusual for a person to ask a question and then just close their account?

That just happened. I answered someone's question, but then when I checked out his profile it said "Inactive". Why would they do that?

Yes that happens from time to time but those account closures are not always voluntary.

Depending on the question, how it is phrased and what the content is, it could have been taken down by G@G administrators for infringement of the G@G rules and regulations. For example anything that contains pornographic content, that is defamatory against a user of G@G, that advertises for a company or that obviously spams and trolls may have his/her account revoked.

However, there are also those that create dozens of accounts in a single day, ask their conflicting question and then immediately delete their accounts. There are creeps everywhere and G@G is full of them together with trolls and spammers.

It constantly happens. I just caught someone using a male model's photo and a few minutes later he was gone. Busted!

Some people deactivate their account every time they log out and just reactivate it when they log back in
