How do you uninstall Norton from your computer?

These guys are charging way too much lately. They are even trying to sell me more to the grand total of over $300 a year. I was thinking of dropping them. How do you uninstall their junk from my computer? Anyone have a review to give on them from your own experience with them? What do you use and how do you like the one you use? I have 17 days left before they are gone. What say you? 🤔

I will quote a computer expert I know.

“Installing Norton on your computer is basically the same as willingly installing a computer virus.”

There are several programs that can uninstall it. You will never fully remove it by just clicking uninstall in the add/remove section of the control panel.

You should be able to go to your control panel, then go to programs and features and u I stall their software. I use what's considered the best anti-virus software which is E-set endpoint security.

I have Revo on my computer. Never figured out how to use it.

If you get charged money, uninstalling wouldn't do anything, you need to cancel your subscription.

But if you cancel it you still need to uninstall it or they will fuck with you. I had that with McAfee. After I cancelled I kept getting popups saying I had several viruses which was BS.

I got rid of Norton years ago. Best thing I ever did. I went to a company called ESET. Everybody speaks English when you need help. It's a US-based data system. I updated my software it covers five units my three computers in my two cell phones. Less confusion great. If I have issues I can speak to somebody that is necessary and they understand me and I can understand them. Very highly of the software.

First you need to state your operating system. But I would be more concerned with Norton having my financial information or not recognizing my cancellation.

They did that once 1 month before it was supposed to end and before I was able to cancel auto renewal. I was going to cancel 5 days before the end but they tricked me by charging me early. I will say that they warn me with a "suspicious link" when I am going to click on a link. Of course, how would you know if that was true or not?

You have to have a subscription for an antivirus. You just don't have to auto-renew.

No, I never subscribed to anything. I use the built-in tools of the OS and browser+extension.

Norton is the worst. You may have to research it. Norton has many modules and cannot be un-installed normally.

Go to control panel and click on uninstall programs and find the program you want to uninstall and uninstall it.
if you can not find the control panel then search for it in the search box.

Revo Uninstaller. The free version, and click the advanced tab. It will remove all vestiges including registry files.
