Best place to find a used car?

I don't know if it’s just cause I live in NY but trying to buy a used car on primarily Facebook marketplace is a pain in the ass.

I don't know don’t know an extreme amount about cars but selling 15-20 year old cars for 2-3k plus when they are barely working or have issues talking about buy as is or giving hella attitude when someone is trying to buy just screams scam.

So a guy selling a 2011 gs350 for about 2500$ not a bad price but some of the pictures where blurry and when he finally replied he was rushing me and wasn’t negotiating the price much at all which I get to an extent.

But every time I asked for the vin he never replied then started giving me attitude for asking questions so okay I’m not buying from you and there’s a lot of Facebook marketplace sellers like that putting I’m not answering a million questions blah blah h don’t buy from those people there scammers.

Get as much information as you as you need and if they aren’t willing to provide then they got something to hide.

I saw some nice new Nissan versas for $20k and come with a warranty i rather buy that then a used car with who knows if it was properly maintained. Plus it's still pretty simple and you don't have to take it to the dealer to replace a battery or filters as you can do it yourself.

Is carvana from private sellers or car dealers cause there pretty expensive for someone tryna buy a used car aren’t they?
