Because it's a reflection on how stupid and reckless you are.

People get into car accidents usually without their fault, it's not the end of the world. But a court will fine you, and eventually ban you if you get into too many. Doesn't matter how much money or "importance" you have - the court needs to look out for other driver.

Similarly, fucking around online and getting banned all the time, means you are a fuckwit. One that needs his fingers removed.

I think it’s just that people get banned for stupid reasons meanwhile trolls can do what they want. Someone gets offended over something, regardless of if it violated the rules.
