We got to grow up socializing without technology early on and learned to integrate it into our already more outgoing lifestyles without it taking over. Got to see social media evolve (or devolve) into the dumpster fires they've become.
There are outliers of course, but I feel like I see far more negative interactions from the other age groups, even among themselves. The older age group wants to be heard more than listen but refuse to figure out technology to be heard more. Younger people are so dependent on technology that they have no idea how to socialize without it and often suck at it.
I apologize if this caused some semantic satiation, the word "technology" looks funny to me now. But, thoughts?

I definitely feel like I ended in the sweet middle spot...
and even nowadays I can go and do just fine with and without... internet connectivity
it will not "ruin my day" lol
Same. I think that's what drives a lot of younger people insane. They need to be connected to some form of tech 24/7 and their whole lives are popularity contests. I don't think it even falls into the realm of them getting bored easily, they literally can't live without it.
I sometimes wonder... how it would have been for me to grow up like that, and I'm sure it would be VERY challenging for me, in some ways... and not end up trapped in some stuff that have people addicted today... lol
I am a tech geek, being good with tech is my career. Obviously I am going to outpace most others.
Even if it wasn't your career though, do you think you have a better grasp on how to integrate into your life without it completely taking over? The difference of the younger people becoming incredibly depressed when they aren't connected all the time and older people becoming frustrated at the use of it to not bother even with the benefits.
For me its a lifestyle and my favorite hobby. Its my passionso I am the wrong person to ask.
No. We're doing fine.
