Which processor do you think is better Intel or AMD?

Arm chips are doing better than both, tbh.

But AMD has always been my fav for custom builds. Intel is more for business.

Many years ago it made a big difference because Intel had better heat dissipation than AMD. Now, I don't think there is any difference. Both are state-of-the-art.

Right now AMD and its not even close.

Yesterday I met a guy who was having difficulty on one of the programs I support and he was having very weird issues. That quickly spread to all his other programs. Turns out his intel CPU was defective, it was his third one. They also inflate the core count a lot with the e-cores that aren't any good.

AMD meanwhile has powerful cores that are also efficient so they don't need that buggy e-core / p-core split and they are well manufactured. So AMD chips just work and work well. All the gameserver providers switched to them to. I have AMD chips in my systems pretty much exclusively and they all work and perform well.

AMD has always had to offer better something i. e. have some edge over Intel because there is no point if it doesn't.

Not in the process of upgrading so not currently up with current state of play. AMD has had a rep for running hotter for a long time.

Makes no difference for any private computer user. The differences in detail are only interesting for large scale data center operations or similar enterprises.

Intel had been ahead for awhile but in the last decade or so AMD has certainly given a run for their money.
