Last time I tried to work with a publisher for my game, they said they had the technology to do what I wanted, and they took a $2000 security deposit from me and did in fact begin work on the game. Then when it came time to publish the final product for sale on Amazon, they said they needed another $10,000 startup money to make a minimum of 500 units to publish on Amazon. I didn't have 10k cash at the time, so I was unable to do this, since I am medically disabled I also don't qualify for small business loans.
Now, I have almost enough in savings to do this (been saving most of my SSDI check for this purpose).
How do I find a publisher i can trust to help publish a game? Milton Bradley already turned me down, which is their loss, the game is massively improved over A&A and other similar games now, and only requires you be able to count to 400 by tens like once in the entire game.
Should I maybe contact a local newspaper and aks them to help me locate an appropriate publisher?

For books, Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) or IngramSpark are the industry standards. For tabletop games, DriveThruRPG is fantastic for digital and print-on-demand.
Using AI to level up ONLY because i typed out a thousand-word esoteric answer to a question in the sexuality topic and it says i need to level up first
Research and do it yourself. Nothing in life is free. And now all support in the US has been fired by Musk. I hope you didn't vote that in or you have shot yourself in the foot.
I didn't want anything free. The guys should have told me up front what the total would be, and I would have waited to do business with them. He said the game should sell for around $75 per unit once the final version is cut and published.
It sucks to be medically disabled. I wanted to invent something for entertainment purposes and hopefully make some supplemental income off it along the way. That's all.
