Are AIs doomed to be stupid because they're trained on stupid humans?

Let's face it... most people are lazy idiots who grossly overestimate themselves. They abandon grammar and spelling entirely given half a choice. Many people can't or won't even spell the word "you" correctly. They type in weird abbreviations, slang and garbled nonsense.
And the AIs that are becoming so popular these days are being trained on that crap. They're harvesting tons of data from across the Internet, much of which is half-arsed at best.
This can't possibly mean good things for the future of Artificial Intelligence.
