What method do you use to clean out your email inbox?

I simultaneously mark every new email for deletion, then go through by titles only and unmark the ones I want to keep for reading - this works fairly well for me.

So if it helps anyone, I'm using Proton mail mainly because it has this monster end to end encryption that I actually need because of my profession. However, it also has some nice little tricks that make mail sorting and deletion a whole lot easier. It's not free but it's worth a few bucks a year I pay for it.

I delete the bad ones and keep the good ones.

Bad: Bank spam , subscription spam , etc.

Good: Family , friends , current job I’m working at to keep records easier, etc.

I also have multiple emails so, my mess gets sorted out in a weird way though doesn’t really solve anything. Makes it an issue for future me to sort out.

@exitseven I fins it hard to delete friends emails. It's like throwing away history books. I only realized my email app was really heavy. 🤓

Make a folder with the friend's name and transfer them into the folder. Thy will be there but not cluttering up your inbox.
