I read the first video tape recorder was released in 1956. But it is not considered an analog video camera?

video tape is not analogue. that's digital. and digital came far after analog film for motion pictures was made available as early as 1889 tho that was still black and white and had no sound.

well as i said. analog video existed as early as 1889. it wasn't magnetic band strips tho but as the name says "film stock" on film reels. pretty much like analogue fotos but a lot of them in fast succession. thus "motion picture". that's how lots of cinemas still work to this day.

yeah sure. i never said it wasn't :D i'm just saying that chemical film existed long beforehand and analog audio also existed long before electronic audio. you probably know record platters. in combination with these and with chemical film, you can have a video without any electricity involved.
