Anonymous(45 Plus)10 moIt ain't that hard. Most catfish are lazy. Most will make a glaring mistake. Such as list thier race as black and then post the picture of a white girl. Really? You don't know what race you are?😆
But beyond that they'll change parts of thier profile that shouldn't change. Like I saw one woman that had a pic of her in a community college sweatshirt. Which is fine. There's nothing wrong with that. But she kept upping her education level every couple weeks from and associates degree, to a Bachelorette, to a masters and then finally reverted back to an associates.🤦āāļø😆
Like I say, THESE ARE GLARING. But beyond that you just have to look for inconsistencies in her bio. Is it possible she just lying for fear of judgement? Yes. But even if that's not the case, do you really want to date a woman that STARTS off lying?
Finally, this is where a lot of young guys (even on G@G make thier mistake). Come on, you've interacted with women. You know your rough level of attractiveness. If a STUNNER that has absolutely no business talking to likes of you, messages you... come on! That big f***ing flashing neon sign that it is a catfish. As I heard a stripper once say, "guys live in anticipation and die in desperation". Too many guys simply do not use thier f***ing heads. I know you relish the thought that a woman that looks like scarlet Johansson would be attracted to you. Who wouldn't! But when has that ever happened to you before? Why would that happen now? Use your f***ing head!😆

10 moI take zero chances and make sure they don't have any 'real' information about me until we physically meet. The most info they get is my first name. If they show up for the date, then great- we go from there and see how things go. If they no-show, or ghost me, I will block them, ghost them without hesitation. Radio silence.
For those who cancel last-minute... I've heard every excuse in the book, and I buy none of them. At the end of the day, their personal problems interfered with their commitment, so much nope I'm not dealing with them.
20 ReplyIf they make excuses not to video chat you , because of someone was very interested in you , they wouldnāt hesitate to video chat you period. You can also use reverse image search apps , that can help you bust a catfish as well. Why I will

Asker10 mowhat about if they refuse to talk to you over the phone?
Asker10 moi agree.
10 moUsually if she looks like a model or a pornstar it probably is a picture of some model or pornstar. One time I asked her to send me a picture of her touching the top of her head with her hand. The real women could do it easily, the catfish would get mad and then disappear, lol. Now I just search their pictures in the reverse image search app.

The one that I used here the other day was called Rimg reverse image search. It has a icon with a purple camera and a magnifying glass. You can find them on the Google Play store app
There's other one's too.
Asker10 moA couple of years ago I used to go too chatib. us to find people to talk too. Often times they wanted to chat with me on google chats. Then they wanted to exchange pictures. Often times the photo looked too sexy or beautiful in my opinion so I felt like they were probably a catfish.

Yeah I've been duped multiple times over the years. One of them was even sexting with me, then she admitted that she's a guy. The funny thing is that the catfish usually get scared or something as soon as I find out and they take off. It doesn't really make me mad, I think it's funny. If they honestly tricked me into thinking they're a woman (which doesn't happen often) I think it's iimpressive. I try to ask them about it. The one guy said it's what he loves to do, it makes him happy.
Asker10 moSomething must be psychologically wrong with the dude.

I guess so. That, or he wants to be a woman and pretending to be one online and flirting with guys fills that need for him maybe?
Asker10 moI hate it when people do that kind of crap.
😥 none⦠tech is too advance⦠people catfish in all types of ways these days unfortunately. It would be nice if people just put themselves than fake pics or ai. Itās wild what people do to go beyond that far including here. People can just be honest thatās not who they are or donāt post someone that they claim is them.

It's ai : that's become a thing here to say "it's ai" or even half sentence eavesdrop "... ai..." in everyday speak

Been wrong a couple of times.
But yeah , obviously meet , video call.. initially even a standard call. Generally it's pretty easy to see.
The thing I don't understand ( outside of scamming or stealing ) is why so many do it?
When all this shite really took off around 98 , it was novel and everyone was who they said they were
I don't quite get it
Why would you bother?10 Reply

@WhitneySnow cat fishing is one of the worst ills of society :(
Profiles are a dead giveaway. On Facebook, I get scams or catfish profiles. For one, they ask you to be their friend. I had one person out of the blue who was not a catfish but something about it did not feel right. That person had seemed to disappear after I ghosted them after a while.
If you see a profile with their picture and another picture of themselves as their background picture is usually a red flag.
If you message them and they cannot talk or vid chat- yeah, red flag.
I can go on and on about this. I was a Catfish myself online in the early 2000s on AIM.
All I did was pose as a female to get nudes of other women. That act did not last long (no, I was not caught, but some women wanted to meet me).
Like it or not, I am always asked questions about whether someone they meet online is a catfish or not.
00 ReplyGoogle reverse image search. Although, used it later than I should have because I didnāt doubt him at first.
Kind of wish I didnāt have to, but anyway you live and you learn!30 ReplyTo check if someone is a catfish, use reverse image search.

10 moReverse image lookup is definitely one. AI screeners, another. And just the attitude to certain questions, generally. Although once, I think I got it wrong and she really was an ex-pornstar⦠😔

If she looks very hot, and acts suspiciously (sexually provocative), she is most likely a catfish.
