What are your thoughts that the tape days are over?

Remember when people would say "I got that shit on tape, I'm taping right now, etc. nobody says it cause it's not tapes anymore, now it's been replaced with full electric cameras with digital storage, no one is ever going to rely on tapes again unless shit hits the fan, I remember the big VVS I think they were called where it was encased tape pretty much and you put it into a machine that rolls the tape 📼

The only way you could remember that is if you were the one taking all the film out. 2 years old Chris observing all the widgets and where the music was coming from just to decipher it 😆 Anyways yes, I remember because my granddad would record his music, so we had a bunch of those or they would record events and I even had a little thing that would reverse the cassette so it would start from the beginning.

It’s a colloquialism at this point, so people will continue to say it, even when most systems have no longer physical tape. By the way, when I grew up there were even three competing home recording systems: VHS, Betamax and Video 2000.
