Im currently using a google pixel 7 and i love the phone and i was hoping to keep it until 2027 when security updates end but lately i noticed my battery is draining quicker than it used to and im getting worried it may be getting worse but im hoping it will last me until the pixel 11 comes out next summer. What do you think?

You do whatever you want, but I got an iphone 8 in 2017 and didn't replace it until a few months ago. That's 8 years with the same phone. (7.5 ish if you include the months)
The biggest problem with keeping the same phone for more then about 5 years is because most manufacturers no longer support phones with updates or security patches for more then about 5 years from their launch date not from your purchase date.
I don't keep anything on my phone to care about security
Ok so you have no banking apps or personal information, no paying apps like apple pay, you never sign into any sites or apps cause if you do your passwords and user id is saved on your phone. Your phone contacts and call history is also stored on your phone. All of this can be hacked especially if your phone updates aren't kept up to date.
Actually, you are correct. I only use my phone for calling, texting, and once in a great while I might use the maps app or do a quick google search. Also, you really think the contacts in my phone are numbers that aren't already all over the internet? Phone numbers are VERY easy to obtain
I have never paid for a phone and never will. I use whatever work supplies me for free. No one needs a phone outside work purposes.
Do whatever you think you need to do, i almost always upgrade my phone every year.
Why not just invest 50 bucks for a new battery for the time being?
get the Pixel 10, and it will last you ages
Yes of course
