A recent windows update just screwed up my start menu is it time to switch to Linux?

I had my start menu nice and simple and uncluttered, but a recent update screwed it up i am so pissed off right know that i think im going to switch to Linux. What distros do you recommend?

ZorinOS if you want to try it is a good choice for beginners, just know that your windows software will probably not work right although a lot of the games will. Its going to have its own issues. But StartAllBack is a good way to make Windows 11 suck less.

It was fine until the recent update know i can get rid of all section and it's driving me nuts. I had 15 apps and folders pinned to my start menu and i don't want any more the start menu is so ugly and cluttered know. My system is quote powerful too im running a ryzen 7 7800x3d and a rx 7800xt.

Having an AMD card is a plus, much less driver shenanigans on Linux

there's a few programs that can personalize all about your Windows, from the Start Menu, to the Taskbar and even the File Explorer...

but if you really want to switch to Linux... you might want to try Mint, not only is the "most like Windows" but also based on Ubuntu so it is widely supported too

It is easy to make your start menu look and work however you like.

I use Start11.

LOL, don't be such a little kid.

Just do a Windows rollback, and you'll be good to go.

As for Linux, Mint and Zorin are two distro's that are decent for noobies like you.

Zorin and Ubuntu if you are not familiar with Linux. Of you can just find a third party program to fix the Windows menu. I use OpenShell. It is free and allows you to return to older style Windows menus.

It was time about ten years ago, unless you play PC games that run only on Windows.
