I believe that social media is madefor people to communicate with each other and make videos or posts for fans or audience members to comment on. I believe that social media isn't the problem it's the bad, stupid people on social media is the problem. What do y'all think is the problem socialmedia or the bad people on social media?

It’s a combination of things. Social media is bad for you in excess because the algorithms are not only made to constantly shove ads into your face as often as possible, but it’s also something that constantly makes you compare yourself to others, which isn’t exactly great for self esteem, this can usually be managed with some moderation disciplines and a good ad blocker tho. However, social media also opens the door to anonymous usage, where people feel free to post anything they please with little to no consequences, this fact emboldens people to show their darkest, most unpleasant sides of themselves on a regular basis, and find community with others who do the same, further emboldening and encouraging behavior that most find deplorable. The big issue with this is most folks, especially younger generations, won’t recognize that their consumption of these posts that exhibit this behavior is as much their fault as the user as it is the gross person’s fault for posting. The only person responsible for your online experience is you. You have to curate what you want to see and interact with, and sometimes that means frequently blocking topics or people that you don’t want to see or agree with. The individual user bears as much responsibility for what they see and interact with online as much as the racist who makes posts calling black people the n-word or saying all hispanics deserve to be jailed.
Mostly, the bad people RUNNING it!! The people ON it aren't the best people in the world, either but, for the most part, they're just saying/doing what their masters are telling them to!! If they had any scruples and self-respect, they'd tell their masters to fuck off!!!
We've been taught to not blame inanimate objects. That people kill people not gun killing people. Yet it suddenly different when it comes to social medias.
