People seem to say the worst things possible to get attention. Generally, the dumbest and the shallow rule the algorithm. You can't have more than five hundred followers on instagram without making suggestive content. Twitter is filled with women reading books just to meet their annual goals on Goodreads. While YouTube beams with roasting movies and other people's content because it's funny and they get paid, or dating coaches that tell you male best friend is a huge red flag. We got Snapchat with millions of snaps covered with fun, easy, adventurous lives or sad quotes that say girls cannot be trusted anymore.
So my question is, does social media offer a space to vent out frustration or does it actually create insecurities and the lack of empathy?
For the sake of debate, don't say 50/50.
