How can I watch adult videos on my landlord’s wifi network without them knowing? Is using a VPN enough?

Sorry for the strange question,

So I’m moving into some lady’s second home for an apartment.

I’ll be living there alone.

How can I watch adult videos on her wifi network without her being able to see what I’m doing?

Would using a VPN be enough to conceal my internet activity?

Or are there other steps I’d need to take as well to be sure I’m protected?

Do most landlord’s even try to monitor their rentee’s internet activity?

If so then kinda creepy/invasive anyway.

Either way tho before anyone judges me, I only watch porn occasionally and I’ve been drastically scaling it back.

But I’d still rather not risk being confronted about it though.

Thankfully, I’ve heard that usually the wifi owner/customer would have to request records from the ISP to see their internet activity on the wifi network anyway.

Is this the case?

Can I safely watch p^rn? Or is there still a way they could find out what I’m doing?

If you have direct wifi (not going through a login portal) then it will not be monitored anyway.

A VPN will usually slow the connection down. But you should be fine.

Wdym by direct wifi? Doesn’t every wifi network almost always require a password to get in?

Unless they have some suspicion and are requesting it, I really doubt they would even know unless they have some thing that blocks certain websites. I really doubt it’s ever going to come up.

For starters dont have your name registered on your device.

and he does not have the user name and password which is usually a WPA3 (or WPA2-AES) encryption. It would take you years to attempt to decipher that password unless of course you break into their place.

@SueShe your probably right unless its old ant they left it open. I remember using a neighbour's internet for years like that. Used to have to be on onesie of the house to get it as they were two houses away.
