You want to talk about a waste of LH2 & LOX rocket fuel NASA just did it by taking a trip to the Moon & not actually landing on it. You want to see what is on the dark side of the Moon it would have been cheaper to send a satellite instead.

They don’t have any cheaper ones hydrogen and oxygen mix is the only thing that will do the job and make it work at the moment a huge amount of the space launch system is just fuel , fuel storage and engines lol just saw a show on that the other day I knew a lot of it was for propulsion and a lot is just thrown away while getting it out of the atmosphere but I didn’t know to the extent of how much it was wiki says 978 tons of fuel in the core or first stage of launch 500 seconds of (1,670,000 lbf) of thrust I feel certain that they are looking for alternatives for the oxygen hydrogen mixture because of how dangerous it is with if it gets to warm it expands and could exceed that pressure limits of the fuel cells and explode just my thoughts mixed with what I heard and read
