I got two calls
First one, the police, I hung up
Second one revolut
Nearly got scammed
I opened my app, did a few things before I realized I was meeting scammed

Both calls were using Google Meet

Never and for a very simple reason. I have never used any application from this company because I am fully aware that G****e spies on you and collects all your data, as well from the browser and from any other application that this company controls.

I solely use non US applications because I know that the US government snoops in those US manufactured applications. My browser is one whose head office is located in a neutral country and my other applications are either open source or are headquartered/located outside the US in safe countries.

If you would not have used that kind of spy software, you would have been on the safe side.

Nah, I don't use phone apps, so I am always safe from scams and spyware. You know you can remove or disable apps, right?

no luckily. but never click a link in sms etc. they make it sound like you gain or scare you. never tap those links.

if you are scared, then: YOU call your bank or credit card at the actual bank number.

Then I just disabled Google Meet

And calls can arrive

The call just said "Revolut"
The exact Revolut logo
It wasn't clear what app was being used
I only discovered afterwards with the help of Claude that it was Google Meet
