How often do you use AI, and what do you mainly use it for?

I recently realized my girlfriend had been asking AI a lot of questions about me and what she should do in our relationship. She even started a new chat almost every time instead of continuing the previous one.

Personally, I see AI as an incredible tool, almost like a library that's available 24/7. But I also notice that many people use it for things they could probably figure out themselves.

Have you ever used AI to help you win an argument, impress someone, or get advice about a relationship?

What's the most useful way you've used AI so far?

I have used it mainly for school purposes. That being looking up information. I don't use it to write papers because they check for that and will fail you.

I will ask it what is the best way to structure a paper on a subject, but that is as far as I go. It is useful for being able to check many sources quickly and then give a synopsis.

The only thing that it seems to do on occasion is give me conflicting opinions. If you use AI I am sure you've had this happen. Kinda similar to what you see the AI write-up for customer reviews.

"Customers found the product to be durable" blah blah blah and then at the end "Some found the product did not last long".

Frequently.

I discuss and research (not: seek simple answers):

- High end engineering details

- philosophical concepts

- drastic political measures and/or concepts

- sociological traps identification

The three things I do not use it for is:

- shallow entertainment

- self confirmation

- common sense knowledge

...

Basically: stuff that (most?) contemporary and average people are too dumb for to even spell it right.

Yes, I think asking for someone's opinion for a relationship is ridiculous.

I rarely use AI intentionally, though most Internet searches today use AI, and I often search for things online.

Occasionally, just for fun, I have a conversation with one of GaG's AI personas or ChatGPT. It's interesting to see how wrong or clueless AI can actually be.

And when I phone customer service at most companies, it's an AI electronic voice that I talk to, until sometimes being able to access a human.

I use AI daily, mostly for brainstorming, wording tricky texts, and pressure‑testing relationship advice. It’s great for seeing blind spots, not for “winning” arguments. Big green flag when someone uses it for self-awareness, slight red flag if they outsource every decision.

Your girlfriend using it about you? That’s okay… unless she trusts AI more than honest communication with you.
