Is the iPhone 17 series actually useless for the average user?

Well the smart-phone has already been completed like 10 years ago. It's done all the phones are pretty much the same.

Most of what is new that comes out is usually just some gimmick like a folding phone or whatever. So you're paying 1000 to have your phone fold and a bigger screen.

But overall it's all the same features you can get from an older device.

I had a good pixel one of the older models and sent my friend a picture and he thought I had the latest iphone because of good the image looked. His pictures didn't come out as clear as my Google pixel phone from 3 years ago.

The Camera on the pixel is pretty nice and the security hardware is very secure if you down a custom OS. You can trick apps into to thinking you gave location permissions to access the app and you have 100% control over apps.

The privacy features are really strong with the pixel as long as you don't use stock OS.

But pretty much the iphone 17 is a copy and paste model from the past few years. It just depends on what gimmicks you want.

maybe you meant to ask about the latest iPhones to be "pointless"... because, for the average user, it could be too expensive or an overkill, maybe but definitely not useless

Not to me. I use all apple products. They just work. People’s complaint is price. I’d rather pay a bit more for better quality and OS cohesion between my devices.

I only own one iPhone, and I gave it to a friend. Never again. They are clunky, overpriced and overrated.

My neighbor had The iPhone 13 Pro Max and he got the iPhone 17 Pro Max. He says it’s exactly the same. And the same camera quality.

If I was gonna get an iPhone, I would skip the 17 and go for the next level the 18 if it’s any better but we don’t know yet it’s coming out soon
