Why are ACs so complicated?

Once you turn it off, you can't get it to come back on, or if it does, it doesn't blow correctly.

ACs should be simple. You turn it on and set the temperature. It's scary to even adjust the temp because it'll randomly turn off.

We have central air.
when we had window units, it was fine.
get a better unit with higher BTU for the size of the room.

Most use split units nowadays around here…
