How do people manage their storage on their PCs?

[MUSICTOKU099125]

How do people store their shit? HDD and SSDs are so expensive!! I have a few big HDDs but they’re basically full. How do people afford space? What do you people do?

[Agape93]

I mean, I have 2 10tb external hard drives. Like 15 bucks each. You can store a lot of porn on that. Shit, I have 12 games stored on it, and arouns 40,000 pictures and documents on it and im not even halfway done on one of them

[MUSICTOKU099125]

I have 3 HDDs hooked up, 1 for backups, 2 for storage.

ALSO WHY IS EVERYONE TALKING ABOUT PORN ON HERE?

[MUSICTOKU099125]

Also $15? No way!

[Agape93]

Ever hear of Amazon?

Clearly that amounts not working for you if you're complaining.

Why not? Surely you enjoy porn too

[MUSICTOKU099125]

It’s hundreds on amazon

[Agape93]

Yeah its called a sale

[MUSICTOKU099125]

It’s still hundreds!!

[MUSICTOKU099125]

Especially now where it costs $200-500

[Agape93]

Again, sales. You know, when they lower prices. And even if raised higher, that's not my problem. Save up

[MUSICTOKU099125]

You’re such an asshole

[MUSICTOKU099125]

SALES ARE STILL EXPENSIVE WHEN THEY ONLY GO 10-30% off

[Agape93]

Then save up, captain EBT.

@Abbycado

[FreyaRed]

I have ultra fast 2 TB M2-SSD and a slow 5 TB HDD as backup. I don't think I need more currently.

[MUSICTOKU099125]

I have 3 HDDs hooked up, 1 8TB for storage and 1 5TB for Storage and 1 8TB for backing up my PC.

[MUSICTOKU099125]

Unfortunately i don’t have enough space.

[fish5505_87]

I do. HD's ares still reasonably cheap, I get it, not like a few year ago. Unfortunately until this joke of chip shortage thing because of AI data centers runs out, we are screwed with prices.

[MUSICTOKU099125]

NO THEY aren't! A big HDD costs hundreds

[fish5505_87]

I just picked a WD Black 6 TB drive on sale a few weeks ago for $329 on new egg, they run $369 on Western Digitals site. Yes, I realize there about $150 more than they were, but considering the capacity it's still not bad. A SD of 4TB will cost you about $800. I agree, it's a crappy time to buy right now.

[fish5505_87]

Thanks

[slatyb]

Expensive? SSDs are insanely cheap comparted to ten years ago.

[MUSICTOKU099125]

Not really, $200-500 isn’t cheap!

[MUSICTOKU099125]

Or $600-1k

[slatyb]

I'm seeing 1TB for $180. How much storage do you need, and what are you filling it with? An SSD is for data frequently accessed from a running system. For archival use flash drives.

[MUSICTOKU099125]

I am filling every drive that i have, my 2 SSDs in my PC. And 2 external HDDs

[slatyb]

With what?

[MUSICTOKU099125]

With tv shows, personal files, downloads.

[exitseven]

I just bought a 2 TB flash drive and offloaded everything on that.

[MUSICTOKU099125]

That’s not enough and how you afford that? It costs so much

[exitseven]

it is enough for me. I think it was 50 bucks. A bargain if I have a hard drive crash.

[MUSICTOKU099125]

$50? That’s impossible. And flash drives aren’t as good as Hard drives

[exitseven]

@MUSICTOKU099125 that's what it was. I got it from Amazon. I never had a problem with a flash drive, I lived through several hard drive failures.

[Anonymous]

I don’t manage it at all. I let it go Because if I clean it, it deletes my passwords

[MUSICTOKU099125]

? Wtf do you mean?

[Opinion Owner]

I don’t clear my cookies or clean everything up I let it go

[MUSICTOKU099125]

I meant storage! Does it not get full?

[Opinion Owner]

It does but it goes fast again soon

[Opinion Owner]

My Internet speed

[MUSICTOKU099125]

? Do you even know what i’m talking about

[Opinion Owner]

You don’t seem to understand me do you

[Abbycado]

iCloud

[MUSICTOKU099125]

You can’t use iCloud on a PC! And also iCloud isn’t big enough for a PC

[Abbycado]

Who tf wants a PC? You can get 12TB on iCloud. You’re a porn addicted looney toon if you have that much porn. Gross.

[MUSICTOKU099125]

I was talking about PCs. And why are you talking about PORN?

[MUSICTOKU099125]

Do you not know what a PC is?

[Abbycado]

Yes. Stands for Puece Crap.

[MUSICTOKU099125]

? Clearly you ain’t a Gamer nor ever used technology in your life

[jahaims]

By not being brokies

[MUSICTOKU099125]

Wtf is your problem
