Would you choose a classic camcorder or smartphone for pregnancy and delivery memories?

Me personally, I feel like I'd want to have a camcorder one day when I have a woman of my own in a relationship. When we are ready to have a baby, I want to capture every single experience that'll be memorable on a camcorder rather than an iPad or an iPhone. I want that classic date stamp, that vintage video quality, and raw footage all the way from the pregnancy to when it comes time for delivery, recording my wife and our future baby being born for personal memories. I want to have those tapes to share one day when our kids become older so they can look back and watch their own story.

I know we live in a world now where technology has advanced so much and this can all be achieved easily through your iPhones and iPads, but I’d honestly just prefer the classic way. It feels more intentional and intimate than a standard phone clip.

What about you? Would you like your partner recording those milestones on a dedicated camcorder, or do you prefer sticking entirely to modern phone cameras?

A mix of both: Camcorder for the deep, private family milestones and a phone for quick, everyday snaps to text family.

Keep the delivery room private: I'm totally fine capturing the pregnancy, but I wouldn't want any cameras or recordings during the actual delivery.

The delivery room should be private. For all other events, I like the mix idea. The camcorder indicates more planning and intention, but the phone is also good for quick on-the-fly occasions.

Who still uses a cam corder? But probably just a regular camera, as smart phones can be hacked

Stay out of the delivery room. I was in there for mine and I’ll never do that shit again. I immediately got a vasectomy so it wouldn’t happen.
