Do international exchange students get invited to frat parties in the US/Canada?

I'm a uni student from Singapore thinking of going to UCLA or University of Toronto for student exchange and I'd really love to be a part of the Greek life there. Is there any chance international exchange students get invited to these kind of parties?

Hi! Actually I don't know about graduate programs in the US, but since you are a Singaporean and I've applied for an exchange program to Singapore, I would like to ask you something. I hope that's ok haha.
So, I've tried to find out as much as possible about student life in universities in Singapore. Now several people have told me that in some universities in Singapore there is this tradition to do photo shoots every year where all the students have to attend. And for some reasons, girls have to take off their shoes and socks for those photos, whereas guys do not.
Can you tell me if you ever experienced this in Singapore? It seems weird and somehow hard to believe for me, but i've been told this by several people now.

Most likely. I know very little about Greek life, but I'm pretty sure that actually joining is a lifelong thing. So as an exchange student I don't know if you could join. But you could certainly go to their parties.

I don't know how things are now. But when I was in college there was no such thing as being invited to parties. Virtually all parties back then were open parties, meaning it was open to anyone who showed up. I hated frat types, but I went to many of their parties, especially if they had kegs.

you could be invited or have a group of friends that are going. there is certainly nothing that says you can't or won't. it would be entirely up to your social circle

I'm not from the US or Canada but I don't see why not if you're interested and friends with people going to one.

Probably depends on the university/group but most will probably be fine with it. If you're into the party life they should let you in
